Score any listing you found

Saktoo isn't a listings site. Its real value is telling you whether a place you found somewhere else actually fits how you live. Paste any LA or OC address and we score it against your quiz answers: budget, commute, and the priorities you set.

How the score is built

The address is geocoded, matched to its Census block group, and then run through the same scoring pipeline as every neighborhood on the site. Nothing about the listing itself is taken on trust: the rent you enter is checked against what the surrounding area actually rents for, and the commute is measured to the destination you gave in the quiz, at weekday rush hour, not as the crow flies.

Six things are scored separately rather than blended into one number, because the tradeoff between them is the decision you are actually making: what it costs against your budget, what is within walking distance, how long the commute runs, the space you get, the environmental exposure of the block group, and the lifestyle fit implied by your quiz answers. Reported-incident data is included only if you opted into it.

Where it is approximate

Amenity counts for a pasted address are estimated from the nearest known listing in the same zip code rather than measured at the exact point, so the walkability figure is a good read on the area and a rough one on the specific building. Block group data describes a few thousand people around the address, never the address itself and never the people in it.

A score is a summary of measurements, not a verdict. It cannot tell you whether the unit is well managed, whether the neighbours are pleasant, or whether the photos are honest. Go and stand on the street.

Every source, with dates and known flaws, is listed on the about page, and the underlying data is free to download from /data.
